MISSION360 Modules

"Mission" can be interpreted in lots of ways, so we're developing modules that reflect that.  Modules feature exploration of issues to do with Anglicans being God’s people in the world.  Currently we have:

MISSION360 Opening the Circle

A practical workshop on making sure your parish is the most welcoming community it can be.

Welcome is something we understand no matter what language we speak, because it is immediately FELT rather than heard! Spend a day (9-3.30pm) with the team from FormedFaith (Fiona Hammond and Jonathan Sargeant) to explore ideas and practices of welcome, particular to a Church context.

Hear stories of welcome from the life of Jesus, the Church and from the Christian family across the world

  • Share about the times you’ve felt welcome in God’s family

  • Identify those things that communicate welcome without words

  • Check up on your own parish welcome habits with a “welcome audit”

  • See your wider community with new eyes and dream up ways to extend a gentle welcome to those currently outside the life of your parish.

We offer an intriguing and fun workshop, with some new insights about opening the circle of our communities. There’ll be plenty of opportunity to share your wealth of experience too!

This is a workshop that will keep you thinking and make you feel part of the family!

MISSION 360 Small Group Leaders Workshop

A practical workshop on the purpose and process of Small Group Bible Studies for experienced and new leaders alike.

This all-day workshop (9.00am-3.30pm) helps equip current and new Small Group leaders with the practical skills and knowledge needed to facilitate a successful Small Group Bible Study. It is interactive in approach and covers the following areas:

  • Why Small Groups?

  • The Five Key Purposes of Small Groups

  • Understanding the Shape of Your Existing or New Group

  • The Five Key Process Areas of Small Group Facilitation

  • Evaluating and Improving Your Facilitation Skills

  • Improving Listening and Questioning Skills

  • Further Resources

Participants are encouraged to actively engage and apply key concepts to their local setting. Whilst the workshop focuses on Small Groups themselves, some approaches to growing a parish Small Group ministry are also covered.
