Coming this year ... excitement!

January 11, 2019

Obviously flying cars as in The Jetsons and Blade Runner should be with us this year but before we see those, we here at FormedFaith are working on some other exciting projects.

The 360 Project

The focus is on two new modules to be completed by the middle of this year. One of these will be a BIBLE360 seminar centering on the Gospels. So far this has been a collaborative project featuring input from experts around the diocese and beyond. There’ll be video material from some of them too. It’s looking great!

The second module fits well with our diocesan theme of Generous Hospitality. Its all about welcoming; how to do it, why we should and where it can lead us. Fiona has some terrific ideas and is collecting more from around the ridges. Wow!

While we’re at it, remember you can sign up your ACSQ parish to host one of the previous seminars too. Give Fiona or Jonathan a call and we can work it out!

SFC Short Courses

The response to the first short course What Matters About Jesus has been phenomenal. The views on each episode just keep climbing. The second is in the final stages of editing at the moment. Called Being Anglican, it features Archbishop Phillip in 5 shorter episodes. It’ll be great for small groups, confirmation or baptism preparation and just a good night in! Watch out for that series to be released in the coming months on the SFC website.

Lecturing

This year at St Francis College Jonathan delivers Youth Culture and Mission first semester and Christian Education in the second half of the year. Find out more to sign up . You can audit too! Jonathan is also travelling up to Ming Hua University in Hong Kong to deliver Christian Education as an intensive one week subject at the end of January. Ming Hua is linked with SFC through Charles Sturt University, so that’ll be fun!

There’s even more to come from FormedFaith in 2019. Some of it is so secret yet we can’t tell you but it’s looking great!! Watch out here, in FOCUS and in Wednesday Weekly. Awesome!
