Directing the spiritual life

October 3, 2014 Jonathan Sargeant

MEC Spiritual Direction Formation Program for Spiritual Direction

The MEC Spiritual Direction Formation Program is an ecumenical program that offers participants the opportunity with experienced spiritual directors to both discern the call to the ministry of spiritual direction and develop the skills necessary to assist others  in discovering  the sacred in everyday life.

Our approach is contemplative and draws on the wisdom of the Traditions and the experience of the participants. This time of formation fosters a posture of deep listening and a contemplative presence to life. A contemplative presence to life enables one to grow in wholeness and respond to the needs around them and in the world.

This wonderful program not only encourages growth and personal transformation, it develops a community of practioners whose support is invaluable. (Rev. Penny Jones)

For more information contact Marie Thompson, the Director of the Program on 3514-7429 or email mthompson@ministryeducation.org.au
